Trent Bridge

Giles Haywood

Having made his Sussex debut in their Sunday League side in 1996, aged 17, with still a year to go at school he was five years in the XI at Lancing – his native County expected much from him, but he was unable to gain a place in the Sussex side when he joined the full time staff.

He therefore moved to Trent Bridge last season.

He played in the second National League game and then in two B&H matches, but afterwards his cricket was confined to the Seconds and he decide to retire from county cricket.
