Joseph Buxton

Born in November 1914, Joseph Buxton was playing for Bentinck Colliery as a right arm fast-medium bowler and right-hand bat in 1936 when he had a trial at the Trent Bridge nets and accepted an invitation to join the playing staff in 1937.

He performed well in the Second Eleven but featured in just one first class match, taking one wicket against Gloucestershire at Trent Bridge in May 1937.
